Clavaux Designs millinery studio produces traditionally crafted hats and fascinators using quality new and vintage materials. The Clavaux family name has had a long history, beginning in Europe, of craftsmanship in tailoring, dressmaking, art and design. That family heritage has continued on into a new generation extending its portfolio into the art of creating exceptional quality headwear.
Treesje Bjorgan, a descendant of the Clavaux name, brings her extensive years of experience as a seamstress and business woman to the studio. Her daughter Emily Bjorgan continues on as the newest Clavaux generation. As a graduate of the School of Fine Art and Music at the University of Guelph Emily brings a fresh new element of design and creativity to the art of millinery. Her repertoire also includes experience working in the hat industry, adding to her knowledge of hat construction, materials and care.
